About

Welcome to Cardamom Conversations! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Aliya. I’m a Christian, a dual citizen from birth of Sweden and America, and a recently married stay-at-home wife who loves cooking nourishing meals, conversing with others, and learning — especially about health and the Bible.

Cardamom is a spice featured in Swedish cuisine. The ‘mom’ part of cardamom refers to my desire to grow into that role and learn from moms who are wiser and more experienced than me as I pursue the role of homemaker. When I first started this blog, I had never been pregnant before, but since then my husband and I briefly became parents to a daughter we named Danny Chaim before experiencing an early miscarriage.

Through this blog, I’m excited to share my journey, one inspired by Christian faith, family, and the warmth of home. Cardamom Conversations is a cozy space where I share my favorite recipes, reflections on homemaking, creative writing, and insights from inspiring Christian moms I admire.

Here, you’ll find:

Heartfelt Conversations: I love learning from women who have walked this path before me. Through interviews with wise moms, I’ll be gathering their stories, advice, and practical wisdom on faith, family, and the beauty of everyday life.

Homemade Recipes: As a lover of cooking and all things cozy, I bring flavors from my Swedish heritage and my own kitchen experiments to the table. These recipes are meant to nourish the body and warm the heart, with a dash of cardamom and other spices that remind me of home.

Creative Writing & Inspiration: Writing is a sweet way for me to express my heart and connect with others. I studied journalism in college and pursued that career for 6 years before getting married. Alongside recipes and reflections, I’ll be sharing creative prompts and musings, hoping to inspire others to find beauty in their own stories.

Whether you’re here to discover a new recipe, gather wisdom from seasoned moms, or find a spark of creativity, I hope Cardamom Conversations brings a bit of warmth, joy, and inspiration to your day. Grab a warm drink, sprinkle in some cardamom, and join me as we embrace the journey of homemaking, creativity, and faith.

Warmly, Aliya
